A Real Madrid star is reportedly set to join Manchester United if Los Blancos do not win any trophies this season.
The Red Devils have been linked with the Spanish giants’ midfielder Toni Kroos since he left Bayern Munich, and were, at one point, believed to be favourites to sign the German.
According to the Daily Star, Kroos is once again said to be considering a move to United, but only if Real fail to win any trophies this season.
The German was heavily tipped to join the Old Trafford club when David Moyes took charge, and despite the deal falling through at the time, the EPL side has remained interested in the player.
United legend Paul Scholes has also previously hailed the midfield maestro, claiming he could be the missing piece in the club’s midfield puzzle.
Michael Carrick could retire at the end of the season if he is not given a new contract, and Kroos has reportedly been identified as the perfect midfield teammate for Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba.
Kroos has played 33 matches for Real in this campaign so far, scoring twice and assisting a further 12 strikes.
