An FC Barcelona superstar has reportedly told forward Lionel Messi he could leave the Catalan club at the end of the season.
According to Diario Gol, midfielder Andres Iniesta has told his Argentine teammate there is a possibility he could leave the Blaugrana at the end of the current campaign.
The Spaniard is said to believe Barca can still win the La Liga title as well as the Copa del Rey final against Alaves later this month, which would enable him to leave the Camp Nou on a high note.
Iniesta has been heavily linked with MLS side New York City, where he could link up with his former Barca colleague David Villa.
The 32-year-old was an important fixture in his side’s UEFA Champions League matches this season, but has been rotated for La Liga matches more than in previous campaigns.
Iniesta has played just 21 league fixtures for Barcelona this season, and has only featured in 34 games across all competitions.
The veteran midfielder has won every trophy possible with the Catalan giants, and has also won the FIFA World Cup and two European Championships with Spain.
