FC Barcelona are actively looking for a replacement for Luis Enrique, and new reports suggest that they could be looking at a second Premier League candidate.
According to the Sunday Express, the Blaugrana are interested in sitting down and meeting with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
Officials at the Spanish club apparently see the Italian as a serious option to replace Enrique after the Italian’s impressive first season in the English top flight – Everton’s Ronald Koeman, a former Barcelona club captain, has also been heavily linked with the Blaugrana hot seat.
Conte is on the verge of guiding Chelsea to a double, with his side close to wrapping up the league title and the FA Cup.
Although the Spanish giants are looking at various options, it is believed that Ernesto Valverde and Juan Carlos Unzue are the favourites for the job.
Barcelona vice-president Jordi Mestre said on Saturday that the club has decided on the profile of Luis Enrique’s replacement, but there has been no indication as to who it will be.
Conte won the Serie A title in three consecutive seasons with Juventus, and also reached the UEFA Champions League final once with the Bianconeri.
