Paul Pogba starts as Manchester United’s No.10 for their Europa League group stage opener against Feyenoord.
The £89 million summer signing has been playing in a midfield pairing alongside Marouane Fellaini for United’s Premier League games, but with Ander Herrera and Morgan Schneiderlin starting against the Dutch club, the France international has been given an advanced role by Mourinho.
In defence, Chris Smalling, Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo have been given their first starts of the season, while Eric Bailly keeps his place at centre-back.
In midfield, Schneiderlin, who has only played five minutes in the Premier League this season, starts alongside Herrera, who came on as a half-time substitute in United’s 2-1 derby defeat to Manchester City last Saturday.
As promised by Mourinho, Marcus Rashford leads United attack with Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the bench.
Juan Mata also returns to United’s starting line-up after being an unused substitute against City.
