Sulley Muntari made his debut for new club Pescara on Sunday, featuring in a 6-2 home loss in Serie A.
Muntari, who was signed by the Italian club as a free agent in the January transfer window, was handed a starting role by manager Massimo Oddo at the
Stadio Adriatico-Giovanni Cornacchia.
The Ghanaian lasted almost an hour before he was replaced by Romanian Alexandru Mitrita.
The match featured goals from African players Ahmed Benali (Pescara – Libya) and Keita Balde (Lazio – Senegal).
Muntari has vast experience in Italy’s top flight, having featured for Udinese, Internazionale and AC Milan.
Pescara are currently placed rock bottom of Serie A with just nine points from 23 matches.
