Manchester United attacker, Anthony Martial has come out to tip midfielder, Paul Pogba to win the Ballon d´Or award soon.
As a matter of fact, the French international has backed his fellow compatriot to achieve that feat within five years.
Furthermore, Martial has a very strong belief that Pogba is actually the best midfielder currently in the world of football.
And the forward has insisted his team-mate will win the Ballon d’Or in the next half of a decade years.
The ex-Juventus player, Pogba has begun the 2017/18 season in a very wonderful form, hitting the net twice so far.
Infact, the Frenchman has scored in the Red Devils 4-0 bashings of the pair of West Ham and Swansea City.
The two wins have now left United on top of the Premier League standings with six points after two matches.
While Martial has a number of team ambitions he hopes to share with Pogba, he thinks greatly of his colleague.
He also feels that his friend and team-mate on both club and international levels can eventually clinch the Ballon d’Or.
Meanwhile, that is a prize the duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have monopolized in the last nine years.
Martial dreams of more trophies at United
“We want to win a whole lot of trophies together as players at Manchester United in the nearest possible future.
“Furthermore, we also want to go on and win the World Cup with the French national team,” Martial told MUTV.
“If he continues playing and improving like he is doing, then I think he will also win the Ballon d’Or.
“As a matter of fact, I have the belief that Pogba can win the award in the next five years.”
Martial already has the feeling that Pogba is the best midfielder in the world, backing him to keep on improving.
And that is in the hope of the 24-year-old Pogba earning the prestigious award in the future.
“Paul is very mentally strong and he is very sure of himself, he is a big guy.
“He is very technical on the ball and he has lots of endurance,” Martial went on further.
“I would say he is probably the best midfield player in the world.
“He is still young, too, so he has a lot to work on and he can get even better.” Martial concluded.
Pogba hit the net five times in 30 Premier League games last term after his then world-record re-signing from Juve.
