Zimbabwe and Bidvest Wits striker Cuthbert Malajila says they must believe in their dream to conquer the continent in the 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The Warriors are now getting ready to finalise their preparations as they want to make their name in the continental showpiece next month.
However, the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United striker says they must get past the group stages.
Kalisto Pasuwa’s men are in Group B and will resume their AFCON campaign against Algeria on January 15, before taking on Senegal four days later.
« We have to believe that we can go past the group stages and go all the way to lift the AFCON trophy,” he tells the Herald.
“Every member has believed since day one and that is the reason why we boarded Munoruruma bus to go and play in Malawi.
“We knew that even if we did not fly, we would go and play and get a positive result. We believe in Pasuwa, we respect him and in every match that we play we play for him.
“We believe in his tactics which have seen us come this far.”
Although the coach is yet to announce his full squad, it is expected that he may do so on Thursday to meet CAF’s deadline for Friday midnight.
