Former Nigeria international Peter Odemwingie has joined Indonesia Liga 1 side Madura United and he was unveiled on Monday.
The 35-year-old forward became a free-agent after leaving English Championship side Rotherham United in January, 2017 following a short stint with club.
Odemwingie, who has turned out for Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow and English side West Bromwich Albion, has since found a new home at Madura.
The experienced winger-cum-striker is pleased to have joined the Sape Kerrab Warriors, who are coached by Brazilian tactician Gomes de Oliviera.
“Thank you for the opportunity given Madura United . This is my opportunity to work in the Indonesia league, ” said Odemwingie on All Nigerian Soccer.
“I see the football climate in Indonesia is moving in the right direction. It also made me interested.”
Odemwingie, who won sliver with Nigeria Under-23 at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, made seven league appearances for Rotherham after joining them in October 2016.
