Senegal international Keita Balde Diao says he’s enjoying life at Italian Serie A outfit Lazio, who are competing for a place in next season’s UEFA club competitions.
The 22-year-old forward is having his best season in front of goal in the Serie A – having hit the back of the net 14 times from 29 appearances.
Keita grabbed a goal and an assist as Lazio hammered Sampdoria 7-3 at the Stadio Olimpico in the city of Roma on Sunday afternoon.
“I am very happy to have scored 14 league goals, » Keita was quoted on Premium Sport.
« And I am also happy that we won today. We work hard in training to always do well.
« Our goal is to win all of our remaining games and to do well in the Coppa Italia final, » he continued.
« I am here at Lazio for years now and I am very happy. Future? Let me enjoy the present instead of talking about the future. »
Keita is expected to be named on the Senegal squad that will take on Equatorial Guinea in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier next month.
He has been linked with a move to English giants Manchester United and Italian giants Juventus.
