If Gennady Golovkin is a Game of Thrones loving Manchester United fan, then he had pretty much the perfect night.
The Kazakhstan bruiser beat Briton’s Kell Brook at the O2 in London last night, proving both his quality and power in the ring.
An entertaining contest was brought to an end in the fifth round when Brook’s team threw in the towel with their man getting a pasting from GGG.
Backstage after the fight, Golovkin was congratulated by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with the Manchester United striker having travelled down to London following defeat in the derby. Wearing his own branded A-Z clothes, the Swedish striker hugged Golovkin twice.
Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, was also among those backstage to congratulate the middleweight champion.
A night to remember for GGG.
