Gambia international Ebrima Sohna has dragged Kuwaiti club Al Arabi to FIFA over a breach of contract.
One of the player’s representative disclosed that the club failed to follow the contract they signed with the player and have not respond to letters written them by the player’s representative and FIFA have now said decision will be taking on the issue.
« Ebrima Sohna’s case with Al Arabi of Kuwait will be decided soon by FIFA after the club failed to honour their contract with him and tried to put the player in a tight corner, » said the player’s representative.
« They owed him three months’ salary first and after FIFA got involved, they paid him.
“Then they started acting funny when the time to resume for pre-season came, they did not contact the player but we contacted them and after a long time, they told him to meet the team in Kuwait and not at camp in Turkey. »
The representative continued: “They called the player that they want him end his contract, that they will pay him off in four installments which was agreed, but after paying the first installment, they called our player without our consent to sign agreement that he won’t seek redress anywhere.
“We ordered the player to refund them which he did. They frustrated him, refused to take him to training while the player kept going himself, they didn’t register him.
“They offered to pay him off and they never sign agreement to that effect and never paid him, they refused to reply the FIFA letter twice, now FIFA ready to take decision soon. »
