Amajita progressed to the semi-finals of the U20 AFCON and secured a ticket to the U20 World Cup, after defeating Sudan 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Both sides saw a bit of the ball in the opening stages, while Grant Margemman went close with a strike from distance.
South Africa eventually broke the deadlock in the 11th minute as Luther Singh teed up Phakamani Mahlambi to slot home at the far post.
Sudan leveled matters in the 25th minute as Khaled Osman showed great chest control before volleying past a helpless Mondli Mpoto.
That goal had been coming, as the Amajita defence looked for from distance throughout the opening half, although Sudan only took advantage on one occasion.
Amajita should have restored their lead just before the break, but Ishag Mohamed produced to fine saves to deny Liam Jordan and Sibongakonke Mbatha.
Thabo Senong opted for a change in the 52nd minute as Liam Jordan made way for Kobamelo Kodisang.
Amajita eventually restored their lead in the 60th minute as Margeman found the back of the net with a superb strike from 12-yards out, after Kodisang’s close range effort was saved.
The South Africans bagged a third a goal in the 66th minute as Kodisang skipped past a marker before teeing up Mbatha, who fired the ball into the bottom corner.
Sudan looked for a way back into the encounter but were unable to bypass the Amajita defence for rest of the match.
However, Amajita managed told to see out the closing stages to claim the victory and will now advance to the final four, where they will face Zambia on Wednesday.
