Abdennour headline Tunisia AFCON squad

Tunisia manager Henryk Kasperczak has released his 23-man squad for the 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations led by Aymen Abdennour, Wahbi Khazri and Naim Sliti.

England-based Khazri with Sunderland and Sliti who plies his trade in France for Lillestrom as well as Valencia’s Abdennour will be key for the side.

The Carthage Eagles are on their way to the 2017 Afcon in Gabon as one of the favourites to lift the crown.

Kasperczak named his squad on Wednesday ahead of the Gabon showpiece starting next week, which will run from January 14 until February 5.

The North Africans will open their Group B account against Senegal on January 15 before taking on Algeria and Zimbabwe.
